Going to Settings/reading reducing the number of posts to display helped speed up my load time. Plus, who needs 10 posts on page 1!

Partially it is the theme/ads. Part of it is too many posts loading, too many widgets, etc.

I notice that all of our sites lag here on the network. I just thought it was my computer(s). Happy's, and Medic999's do. So does AD's and mine. Does everyone see that?

Thanks 3, and welcome aboard (belatedly)! I've been working on restoring my brand new laptop that fried out 20 days out of the box, just reloaded the factory system and have been using the 7 year old emachines to make minor changes.
I'm not a fan of the twitter bars, but working on it. thanks!

PS – SFFD Medic 3 was the busiest in the US 2 years running not long ago, now it's closed.

I don't get it….

Something on your page is really slowing down the loading/navigation. I think it might be your twitter widgets… Have you considered switching to the WordPress versions. yeah, I know they don't have scrolling… but they load a lot quicker. Just thought I'd throw that out there!
